Just The Way You Are

While dining in the Northern California wine country, I had the wonderful experience of tasting strawberries with balsamic vinegar over vanilla ice cream.
I tell you, it was so good that I did not want to leave the place. I could have stayed there and done "that" over and over again.
With this recipe I am recapturing that taste. Make it and you too will enjoy.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 cups Strawberries, hulled and quartered

  • 1/2 cup Sugar

  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar

    Preparing the Strawberries:

    1. Place the strawberries in a large bowl and drizzle wuth the balsamic vinegar.

    2. Allow to sit at room temperature for up to 1/2 hour.

    3. Sprinkle with sugar.

    4. Spoon into individual dishes or spoon over ice cream.
