I hope that the
scene above allows you to relax and enjoy this page. Maybe it
might put you in the mood to try some of the poses. If so,
remember that breathing is key. |
I'd love to share the fun and joy that I am currently experiencing with my practice of Yoga.
I am performing Yoga postures that I never in life thought possible. For me, it is a miracle.
I am taking private lessons and I live for that special day to roll around. Finally found
the perfect exercise form for me.
The very first thing that lesson, was to learn to:
She put it quite simply. Take a deep breath to inhale, place the tongue in the roof of the mouth, and make a sound as if snoring.
Exhale doing the same thing. I learned right off the bat to breathe correctly. She is one great instructor.
I am also learning about Chakras and how they benefit our lives when we become aware of them
and use them. Wonderful stuff, this Body Awareness!

CHAKRAS are the seven energy centers in the >astral body where many astral
nerves come together. They correspond to the nerve plexuses located along the spine
in the physical body. |
Lotus Pose The ultimate yoga pose, Padmasana requires open hips and consistent practice.
Benefits
- Calms the brain
- Stimulates the pelvis, spine, abdomen, and bladder
- Stretches the ankles and knees
- Eases menstrual discomfort and sciatica
- Consistent practice of this pose until late into pregnancy is said to help ease childbirth.
- Traditional texts say that Padmasana destroys all disease and awakens kundalini. (A cosmic energy in the body that is often compared to a snake lying coiled at the base of the spine, waiting to be awakened.)
